The Recreation and Cultural Centre (Arena) is located in the main village of Wikwemikong. The arena must generate it’s own funding, it has a minor capital budget set aside by the band and because of the limited funding, the arena is in great need of retrofits and renovations. This has led to miss opportunities for major sporting events. Minor renovations have been completed, such as replacing the equipment, painting, etc.
In 2001, the Chief and Council allocates Casino Rama fund for a sports and recreation program to deliver various recreational programming. Wikwemikong has a full range of recreational facilities including two community halls, two basketball courts, one baseball field, a tennis court, the marina, permanent pow wow grounds, three children playgrounds, running track, and five major public beaches. Wikwemikong does have hiking/snowmobile/all-terrain vehicle/cross-country ski trails, however, they need to be maintained. The reserve provides excellent opportunities for hunting and sport fishing.
